Charles at dVerse has us writing “Dada poems with
scissors” – now this is new to me and I found it tremendous fun! I chose this article I had read (in printed
(slightly different) form) in The Sunday
Telegraph, cutting up two paragraphs into single words, putting them in a
dish and chose seven words at random, attempted to make some sense of them and
repeated same until all words used (there were three ‘ins’ in the final batch
which I stuck in where appropriate).

We must be aware of these health hazards. Cancer is so durable, but can really trust the CHEM hormones? I wonder about that. The frogs in France might know the answer. In fact, I will bank on that!
ooo excellent anna...and it still have the concern as well with the carcinogens and what they are doing to animals...and us as well...beware the chems for sure...imagining the frogs crawling up my legs...ack!
Well this is fun, and politically relevant. There's a certain element of refraction that I like a lot. This really gets to the style of dada.
good one! the ideas come through, even jumbled!
That is too bad, more things to worry about ~ Thanks for sharing your writing process ~
I think that phrase "disturbing upsurge" could be made into it's own poem. Nicely done!
Great ending:
"Has intersex a plastic endocrine?
The frogs in France,
they that leech in every other fabric,
do up our legs – asthma not reduced."

def. always more to worry about...really interesting take and you still managed to put meaning into it
"Fish infiltrate testes" - dear oh dear.
Interesting result, Anna.
You picked words and used them as ammunition to give society a wallop. Out came something equally grotesque and horrendous as what went in.
Great stuff and choice of illystration. Wish it weren't true.
Those frogs in France, what a health hazard indeed! I love the way you have managed to capture the tone of The Telegraph!
Good one and you worked a very relevant issue here!
...superb attempt Anna... mind-draining to demonstrate... smiles...
Really good.. meaning was not lost and came out very strong.. Just shows that the original text is important to do something well..
One gets put off by allergies which many can do without. Seen the effects of asthma on sufferers who really suffer. Nicely Anna!

definitely more n more things to worry about..
pollution, env, climate, health..
god if you sit back and make a list it can go on n on
I love the critique this created, very powerful indeed. A strong commentary on the state of multiple forces at work on our home. And a true Dadaist work, too. Great job! -Mike
You got some great and disturbing images with your process.
Thanks for your welcome comments folks.
As said, I did find this tremendous fun and I agree Aprille that the outcome was quite grotesque - and some bits made me giggle.
That said, the relentless pollution of our planet scares me and I particularly worry for the future generations. Selfishly - I am glad I will be out of the picture by 2050 - when, by what I have read- total irreversible meltdown will begin...
Happy Days ahead...

Oh my gosh- this has the gobbledygook - technical feel of many journals - but swerved into something quite witty and poetic - and I do not mean to put down scientific journals -poor frogs! Poor us too - but it's not the frogs' fault. k.
Oh Anna this breaks my heart. when I was pregnant with Isadora and when she was small I was very careful I even made all my cleaners and shampoos encase she would put something in her mouth (rather when she did). I wasn't like a neat freak or anything I just didn't want tons of chemicals in the house and in her little system. Where my mom lives cancer is extremely prevalent there is something very unnatural about it. There is a nuclear power plant nearby and I can't help but think of The Simpsons with the little mutated fish.
Zowie! You truly caught the Dada spirit, and even though there is a lot of great humor in the lines you created, the original message comes through loud and clear. Excellent. Thank you.
love this pulled a great bunch of words from the hat!
Environment is being damages ruthlessly. the picture you have posted says it all....
