Sun hums (I’ve always heard her,
oh so long before the sages
found her,
heard her self-soothing
stimming
sounding in their waiting
ears).
Oh how she’s told me of her
chaos,
how her mere existence pains
her,
how her torrid temper maims
her,
how she’s waiting just to
die.
Oh how she’s sung her song to
me,
sung to me beneath the
heavens,
bid me please release her
from her anger,
quell fires forever raging in
her bosom;
pains me with her plaintive
pleas.
Out of body I soar
towards her,
soar along this astral plane,
time altered into now or
never,
and oh how I long to be
beside her
and how she gently guides me to her
as I longingly call out her lovely name.
We are one now forever melded
into fire
and I bear her wrath and feel
her pain,
yet I can do naught to soothe
her
yet she moves me soothes me
with her soulful longing
mournful wantings
as consumed I am with love of
her.

Thank you for this wonderful video of the vibrations from the sun. I love you poem about becoming one with the sun, the flying to meet her.thank you for posting.
A very interesting concept. How could it not be humming?
I could't get the video to play, so read the piece aloud. The 's' sounds in the first verse are very effective. I love how you let yourself go and become one with the sun, really throwing yourself into the exercise.
I like that being consumed by love of the sun and the sun's rage.
I never thought of the sun like that. Usually I like to personify the moon. Thank you for this "illumination" of the sun.
Your adoration is palpable, the poem gives off a warmth and and vibrancy all its own, and I see the orange, yellow and white of it throughout.
I could hear the hum and feel the heat that radiate from your poem, Anna. I love the sizzling sibilance in the first stanza and can imagine the feeling of constant chaos that causes the sun to despair.
her mere existence pains her, - this summed up the plight of the one dimensional sun so well
A wonderful poem about your love for the sun.
Things are perfect yet, with my site, but thank you for coming by, and for your commens.
This is a very powerfully written piece. I was especially moved by the second stanza.
Fantastic write.
Wonderful piece. Love the way you use sound in the poem.

You stepped into the void so bravely. I loved reading this poem!
I love the way you approached the sun... so many poets write about the sun.. but this is so blazing.
I so love the tone of this. We do have a relationship with that bright orb, but rarely do we speak of it in such a beautifully poetic manner.
I love the songs from the sun!!! Thanks for the video and the inspirational lines. Happy weekend.
I cam back to reread, and saw my comment was full of typos. Please forgive. A wonderful poem!! And thanks for your comments.
The voice is perfect. It invites us to dance with our chaos and to recognize her for what she is--a part of us we can't do without... a part of us that makes us better, if we understand it, accept it, embrace it.
